10.02.110 By-Laws

The Police Commission shall operate under the procedures listed below but may establish by-laws and procedures for the operation of the organization not inconsistent with those set forth in this section.

(a) A quorum shall consist of at least three members.

(b) A tape recording of all official meetings shall be made and kept for a period of at least two years.

(c) Official meetings do not have to be noticed nor made public.

(d) Official actions shall be carried or defeated by majority vote.

(e) Roberts Rules of Order shall be generally followed at all official meetings.

(f) Tape recordings of official meetings shall be provided to the Tribal Council upon demand but do not have to be provided to the public. The Tribal Council is empowered to release copies of the tape recordings or transcripts therefore to the public upon reasonable request. Reasonable and prudent attempts must be made to protect the privacy and safety of individuals concerned with the release of any tape recording or transcript requested under this ordinance.

(g) A chair and vice-chair shall be selected from within the members to officiate at meetings.

(h) A secretary shall be selected from within the members to be responsible for producing and maintaining records of official meeting, minutes and so forth.
